We are pleased to welcome Ashley Mueller as the GREEN Resource Coordinator for the newest GREEN Community School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Ashley comes to the MGR Foundation with a strong background in community service and public policy. She has conducted health policy research at New York University and managed a center serving low-income residents in North Philadelphia with the nonprofit, LIFT.
In her free time, Ashley worked as a volunteer running leader with Students Run Philly Style, mentoring and training North Philadelphia teenagers to run marathons. Ashley earned a Bachelors degree in Ecology and Environmental Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and a Masters in Public Policy and Nonprofit Management from New York University.
Over the summer, Ashley traveled to China where she studied sustainable development with a focus on environmental protection, alternative energy, and sustainable food systems. She has also studied biodiversity in Costa Rica, and the human impacts on tropical ecosystems in the Bahamas.
A native Minnesotan, Ashley is excited to be part of a team of professionals, students, and community members working together both locally and nationally to make our schools greener, healthier places of learning.
